Den building and mud pies

Date: 4th Oct 2017 @ 9:30pm

The children are becoming more confident at forest school and thinking of their own ideas for activities. They all mastered the fire circle game understanding why we have to walk outside the fire circle to stay safe. After a few games the children discovered a note from our forest fairy asking the children to make their own nature portraits using conkers and leaves we had foraged. Some of the boys made dens for the soft toy animals and worked really cooperatively together, problem solving their ideas and working as a team. There was lots of messy play in the mud kitchen and we practiced our tool work cutting the apples donated by Miss Whittle. Our confidence is building to use the saw and knives to make some quite complicated tools!

We were blessed with lovely autumnal weather and finished our session off with smores over our fire.
