World Book Day is on Thursday 2nd March 2023, however every day is a day to celebrate reading here at Pike Fold. We are always overwhelmed by the enthusiasm of our school community and this year we celebrate our love of reading in various ways including: Extreme Reading Competitions, Online Book Reviews, Book In A Jar Competition, The Masked Reader Competition, Children's Book Swap, Scholastic Book Fair and Book and a Brew.
On World Book Day this year, we will be sharing our favourite books by dressing in pyjamas for a day . Reading together is a valuable, social experience which boosts creativity and imagination, improves well being and is a positive experience for everyone! Children may wish to bring their favourite bedtime book to share with a friend. Pyjamas and dressing gowns are welcome – but please remember to wear suitable shoes!
