Important dates and things to remember:

Spellings: New spellings will be set on Spelling Shed on Thursday evenings. Year 1F have their spelling test on a Tuesday and Year 1P on a Wednesday. 

Reading books: Book bags will go home on a Thursday, please send them back in by the following Tuesday. (A polite reminder that if your child's reading record has not been signed, a new book will not be handed out). 

Your child will also recieve their guided reading book that they have covered in class that week this is to practise fluency! 

Year 1 have a library trolley where the children are able to pick a book to bring home - this is a book that an adult at home will read to your child. This is to encourage a love of reading, please do not ask your child to read this library book to you. 

P.E: Please make sure that your child has a P.E kit in school and that if they wear earrings, that they are removed on the days they have PE, these are Tuesdays and Wednesday. Thank you.
