Turning cream into butter 🥛

Yesterday afternoon we carried out an experiment; we poured some cream into a jar and the children took it in turns to shake the jar. 

The children made some predictions about what might happen; 

"It will turn green"

"It will disappear" 

"It will come out"

We continued to shake the jar until ... eventually ... it turned into butter! We tasted the butter we had made on a baguette and it was really tasty.
