Romans - Invaders and Settlers

We discussed the terms invaders and settlers and how inavders take a country with force whilst settlers plan to stay in a country permanently and make changes. The children decided that the Romans were intially invaders but over time, turned into settlers as they created roads, towns and infrastrucutre.
