Science Lesson 11.11.21: Can I identify the effects of friction acting between two moving surfaces?
Lesson: Science
Class: Year 5F Year: 2021 - 2022
In this lesson, we looked at the effects of friction on an object using different surfaces. Children used a forcemeter to measure in newtons how much force it took to pull the box along a variety of different surfaces. They compared smooth wood, carpet, sandpaper and foam in their experiment. They found that the surface that created the least friction was the smooth wood!
