myHappymind

We are delighted to let you know that we will be introducing a new programme called myHappymind across our school. This exciting curriculum is designed to support the mental health and wellbeing of children, helping them to develop lifelong habits that build resilience, self-esteem, and emotional awareness.

What is myHappymind?
myHappymind is a science-backed programme based on positive psychology and neuroscience. It is already being used by many schools across the UK and has received fantastic feedback from children, teachers, and parents alike. The programme empowers children to understand how their brains work and equips them with practical strategies to support their own wellbeing and mental health.
The programme covers five key areas:
Meet Your Brain – understanding how the brain works and how to keep it healthy.
Celebrate – learning to identify character strengths in ourselves and others.
Appreciate – developing gratitude as a daily habit to support happiness.
Relate – building positive relationships and learning to communicate effectively.
Engage – understanding how to set goals and keep motivated.
Each class will have weekly lessons as part of the curriculum, and children will also be encouraged to practise techniques such as breathing exercises, mindfulness, and recognising their own strengths.

How can you get involved?
There is a dedicated Parent App that you can access at home to explore what your child is learning and reinforce the strategies they are being taught. We will be sending out more information shortly with details on how to access and use the app.

We are really excited to be bringing myHappymind to our school community and we believe it will have a positive impact on every child’s wellbeing, both in and out of the classroom.
