Talk with a cardiologist

As part of their science curriculum, Year 6 had a special talk with cardiologist Dr Al-Othman from North Manchester General Hospital. They learnt about the functions of the heart; health problems directly related to the heart and circulatory system; heart surgery and pacemakers. The children got to see some specialist equipment and asked many, fascinating questions.

Even Mr Johnson and Mr Graham learnt many new things! Thank you so much, Dr Al-Othman, for coming to speak to us.
